The Tokyo Sustainable Seafood Summit 2023 (TSSS2023) will be held from 17th to 19th October, Tuesday to Thursday, 2023. The event is hosted by Seafood Legacy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Seafood Legacy '') and Nikkei ESG and co-sponsored by The David and Lucile Packard Foundation and Walton Family Foundation.

The Tokyo Sustainable Seafood Summit (TSSS) is among Asia's global flagship events. The event brings together diverse stakeholders focused on sustainable seafood systems, protecting the environment, and promoting growth in the seafood sector.

Since its inception in 2015, TSSS has served as a networking platform for many participants from Japan and abroad. After holding an online event during the global pandemic, we will hold the event in person again this year.

The theme of this year is “Achieving the 2030 Agenda: Sustainable Seafood Strategies for Japan and Global Food Security” The issue of global food security is becoming more of a reality for many people due to environmental degradation and geopolitical vulnerability. With the world population surpassing 8 billion people, securing protein sources for people has become an urgent issue. Under these circumstances, how can we make seafood more environmentally and socially sustainable?

We will invite speakers from the front lines of business, NGOs, and international organizations for an in-depth discussion.
