FAIRR Initiative launches inaugural seafood benchmark in Japan
Six Japanese companies included in FAIRR Initiative's inaugural seafood benchmark

From climate change and biodiversity to social issues, sustainability disclosure is shifting from voluntary to mandatory.

Amid these changes, the FAIRR Initiative (hereinafter FAIRR) will launch the Coller FAIRR Seafood Index, its first dedicated benchmark of seafood companies.  FAIRR is a global investor network that raises awareness of the material risks and opportunities in the global food sector.

This benchmark assesses 20 major global seafood and aquaculture companies, including six Japanese firms, with a focus on traceability and supply chain management.

The results reveal the current standing of Japanese seafood companies and the maturity of their responses to the risks and opportunities associated with the seafood and aquaculture industries.  This is an excellent opportunity to hear directly from FAIRR representatives, who have an in-depth understanding of global investor expectations, and to draw on their insights when shaping future corporate strategy . We  look forward to welcoming you.

*Seafood Legacy Times, a media outlet covering seafood sustainability, plans to publish an analysis of the Seafood Index results prior to the event.
